A young singer with a big heart. That is basically the perfect description of Chloe Rose, a sixteen year old singer from the United Kingdom and one of Britain’s rising sweethearts. Her debut single, “For Me”, is in aid of the Wayne Rooney Foundation which funds several charities including Childline, a NGO which helps children in need. By donating all the proceeds of the songs to the organisation, Chloe proved that anyone can make a difference and helping people in need. So we decided to ask her some questions.

Have you always enjoyed the art of music? Do you have any other hobbies?

I love music! It’s always been my biggest passion. I love going to concerts and shows, and I’ve always enjoyed singing and performing on stage, it’s what I feel I was born to do. I like to play the piano and write music, I can sit for hours writing and thinking up ideas. In my spare time I love going running, especially when I’m in Wales and can run for miles along the beach to clear my head and relax. I like to go out with my girlfriends and get our nails done also (typical girly girl!) and obviously I love fashion and makeup, I love watching beauty bloggers on youtube and learning all their tips and tricks!

Do you have any celebrity crushes?

I have a soft spot for Shawn Mendes, I love his music and he is quite cute isn’t he?! I’ve also got a little bit of a crush on Brooklyn Beckham, but who doesn’t?

Who is your favourite artist and who is your biggest inspiration in music?

My favourite artist at the moment would have to be Adele, she writes such powerful music and her voice is amazing. My biggest inspiration in music is definitely my producer Mike Stock! Working with him has been the most amazing experience ever and he has taught me so much I feel so lucky (lucky lucky lucky) to have had the opportunity to work with him and his team! I’m so excited to have everyone hear the songs we have done together and can’t wait to get out there and perform them!

Which was the first song you ever sung?

The first song I remember singing is probably “Castle on a Cloud” from Les Miserables. When I was 8 (I think) I played the young Cosette in a production of Les Miserables in a theatre in my home town of Warrington, Cheshire (near Manchester haha!) I love musicals so much and going to West End shows is my favourite thing to do when I’m down in London!

What’s the story behind your debut single “For Me” and what message ar you trying to transmit?

My debut single ‘For Me’ is released to celebrate 30 years of the ChildLine service in the UK and all the money raised from the single is in aid of the Wayne Rooney Foundation, supporting ChildLine and NSPCC.

When I was 14 I was asked to sing (and act) in a video for the Anti-Bullying Alliance it was called ‘Make A Noise About Bullying’. It was an awesome experience as the video got played on the One Direction tour last year to 200, 000 people and we got invited to the shows, so I was able to watch it play on the huge screen at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff quite a few times! Then last year ChildLine got in contact with me and asked me to sing a song to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the service. When they realised I was recording songs with Mike Stock it all came together very quickly! Mike had written one of the original ChildLine songs in the 80s so we’ve kind of completed the circle now!

The song ‘For Me’ is about realising that there is always someone out there to help you, someone you can always depend on and it really has several meanings because it can be taken to mean a person like a family member a loved one or a partner. The lyrics also celebrate and fit the ChildLine service and their brand-new app called ‘For Me’ which will provide the best possible support for young people in need of help. I love the power of the message; You gave your heart for free and love without limit!
